Juventus confirm that they have completed the acquisition for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani on a loan deal until the end of the season.

Juventus have formally announced that they have signed Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani.

Having fallen down the pecking order at Parc des Princes, the France international has been in line for a departure since the turn of the year.

A number of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, were suggested as potential destinations for the versatile attacker.

However, the 26-year-old has instead opted to make the switch to Turin on a loan deal for the remainder of the season.

Potential difference-maker at Juventus?

Juventus have endured an unusual campaign under Thiago Motta, going unbeaten in 21 Serie A fixtures but prevailing on just eight occasions.

Dusan Vlahovic has scored just seven times, yet remains as Juventus's leading marksman in the league ahead of a potential exit during this transfer window or the next.

Reports have suggested that club officials are open to cashing in on the Serbia international as soon as possible to maximise the financial return for a player who cost in excess of £70m.

As well as Kolo Muani, Juventus are in line to pay £3.8m and the wages of Renato Veiga in order to finalise a loan agreement for the Chelsea defender.

That throws open the possibility of Kolo Muani being regarded as a direct replacement for Vlahovic in due course, yet his versatility means that he could be deployed on the flanks.

Kolo Muani deserved more at PSG

Less than 18 months ago, PSG committed to paying Eintracht Frankfurt a fee of €85m (£71.82m) for Kolo Muani, the feeling being that he would become a key man under Luis Enrique.

Instead, just 11 goals and seven assists have come from 54 appearances in all competitions, Kolo Muani making just the 23 starts.

That is despite the player remaining an important figure with the France national team. Three strikes and one assist came from five appearances in the recent UEFA Nations League campaign.

Despite his obvious qualities, Juventus may have to wait for Kolo Muani to get up to speed with his last outing coming back on December 6.
