Rennes sporting director Pierre Derossi insists that there is "nothing to big to report" on the future of midfielder Yann M'Vila.

Rennes sporting director Pierre Derossi has insisted that there is "nothing big to report" on the future of midfielder Yann M'Vila.

The Frenchman's future has been uncertain all summer, with a move to North London to join either Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur mooted, but Derossi claims that there has been little movement on the saga.

"There is nothing big to report. We've had some contact, but nothing more than that," said Derossi.

"Now, as I've been saying for a long time, we will know whether Yann will eventually leave in the final week [of the market].

"If Yann stays, all the better, and we'd be a bit stronger with him than without him."

M'Vila was part of the side that beat Bastia 3-2 in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
