The Football Association confirms that it has overturned the red card received by Mohamed Elneny in Sunday's 3-2 win against Southampton following an appeal from Arsenal.

Arsenal have won their appeal against the red card shown to Mohamed Elneny in Sunday's 3-2 Premier League victory over Southampton.

The Egypt international was dismissed for raising his hands in a confrontation with Saints defender Cedric Soares in stoppage time at the Emirates Stadium.

Southampton defender Jack Stephens was also sent off in the closing stages of the match for a spat with Jack Wilshere, who in turn received a booking.

A statement from the Football Association read: "Mohamed Elneny will be available for Arsenal's next three games after an Independent Regulatory Commission accepted that he was wrongly dismissed for violent conduct against Southampton on Sunday, April 8, 2018."

Elneny, who would have had to serve a three-match ban, is now available for Arsenal's games against Newcastle United, West Ham United and Manchester United.
