England's batsmen fail to support the bowler's impressive work as 16 wickets fall on day one of third test between England and Pakistan.

England's batsmen failed to support their bowlers as 16 wickets fell on day one of the third Test against Pakistan in Dubai.

Following Pakistan's dismissal for just 99, Alastair Cook, Jonathan Trott, Ian Bell, Eoin Morgan and Matt Prior all lost their wickets for few runs as the tourists closed on 104-6, a lead of just five.

Andrew Strauss (41 not out) provided some resistance and is at the crease with night watchman James Anderson (3 not out).

Kevin Pietersen showed glimpses of his best, dispatching four boundaries on his way to 32 before being trapped lbw by Abdur Rehman.

Earlier on in the day, the pick of the England bowlers were pacemen Stuart Broad (4-36) and Anderson (3-35), who ripped through the hosts' top order.
