David Haye: 'I'm biggest threat to Anthony Joshua'

Former heavyweight world champion David Haye claims that he is the biggest threat to IBF title holder Anthony Joshua.

Former heavyweight world champion David Haye has claimed that Anthony Joshua would be heading into "the complete unknown" should he ever agree to fight him.

Joshua is currently preparing to face Eric Molina at the Manchester Arena on Saturday night but it has previously been suggested that a showdown between the Olympic gold medallist and Haye could take place in 2017.

However, Haye has hinted that he has doubts over whether Joshua would agree to face him given his status as one of the biggest punchers in the division.

The 36-year-old told Sky Sports News: "If it's available, I'll take it, but there is one thing me wanting it in my schedule and another thing Eddie Hearn and Team Joshua wanting that fight.

"It will be by far the biggest, the most dangerous fight he's been in. There is no fight that comes close to his preparation for me, the angles that I come at, the speed, the power.

"He would never have even sparred with anybody or fought anyone in the amateurs or the professionals, or sparred with anyone with my skill set. It will be him in the complete unknown."

Haye is currently preparing to face Tony Bellew at the O2 Arena on March 4.
