Washington Wizards rookie Otto Porter has been forced to have an MRI scan on an injured hip, according to reports.
Porter has not taken part in any full training for the Wizards during pre-season following a difficult summer in the Las Vegas summer league, where he also injured his hamstring.
It now appears that the 20-year-old is even further away from a return to the court because of a problem with his hip, according to CSN Washington.
Wizards coach Randy Wittman recently suggested that the small forward also needs time to learn the team's system.
Porter was selected with the third pick in this year's Draft.
