Randy Wittman: 'Washington Wizards must improve starts'

Washington Wizards head coach Randy Wittman believes that his team must make better starts to their games.

Randy Wittman has said that the Washington Wizards need to make faster starts to their games.

The team trailed by 12 points at half time during their pre-season game against the Cleveland Cavaliers last night, before fighting back for a 101-82 win.

The head coach told reporters: "A little muddy start again, but in the second half, as I tried to tell them, when you come out with that type of energy on both ends of the floor like we did in the second half, it just feeds over into your offense.

"It's got to be a grind when you're going through no energy. You've got to play offensively that way. Both last night and tonight, they came out and responded but we've got to figure it out for two halves."

The Wizards begin their pre-season against the Detroit Pistons next Wednesday.
