Corey Maggette has revealed that he will retire from professional basketball if he fails to make the San Antonio Spurs roster.
The 33-year-old was invited to take part in the pre-season training camp by the Spurs but has admitted that if he does not agree a deal with the Texas-based franchise, then his career will come to an end.
"If I could get an opportunity here, it would be great. If not, this game has been good to me," Maggette told the San Antonio Express-News.
Before he agreed to join San Antonio's camp, Maggette was believed to be in discussions with the Detroit Pistons about a scouting role.
