LaMarcus Aldridge to miss two games with back injury

Portland Trail Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge will miss the team's next two games with a back injury.

LaMarcus Aldridge has been ruled out for at least the next two games after sustaining a back injury during the Portland Trail Blazers' defeat to the San Antonio Spurs earlier this week.

The power forward fell heavily during the second half of the 103-90 loss, having to be helped to the sidelines by his teammates before being taken for X-rays in a wheelchair.

Coach Terry Stotts told ESPN: "When a guy takes a tough fall like that, when you're airborne, you just don't know what can happen when you land. The longer he stayed down, you just don't know."

The X-rays came back clear, but Aldridge will be rested over the weekend before being re-evaluated next week.
