Carmelo Anthony returned from injury on Thursday to help the New York Knicks end a three-game losing streak as they beat the San Antonio Spurs 105-101 at the AT&T Center.
Anthony produced a double-double as he recorded 27 points and had 12 rebounds having missed New York's recent fixtures with an ankle sprain, while another outstanding effort came from Iman Shumpert who notched a career-high 27 points.
The result could have been a different story had Spurs man Marco Belinelli not missed a three in the closing stages, which allowed Anthony to stand up and make a pair of foul shots to put the game to bed.
The Knicks occupy fifth position in the Atlantic Division with a record of 10-21 for the season.
