New York Knicks' Tyson Chandler eyes injury comeback

New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler says that he hopes to return to action before January 1.

New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler has said that he is on his way to making a comeback from injury.

The 31-year-old has been out since the first week of November with a leg fracture that he suffered against the Charlotte Bobcats.

"I'm hoping before [January 1]," Theknicksblog.com quotes him as saying.

"If I can just get my practice time and timing and feel like I'm able to protect myself out there, then I want to get back out there."

The Knicks have a 5-14 record in the Eastern Conference.
