Dwyane Wade has reacted positively to coming off the bench for the Miami Heat in the victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday night.
Wade, who missed the previous four games with a knee injury, scored eight points in a 24-minute appearance at the AmericanAirlines Arena after being introduced to the action towards the end of the first quarter.
"I've only had one practice in a while," the 32-year-old told reporters. "Team was in a good groove. I wanted to work my way into my rhythm.
"I didn't expect [to miss four games] but I did what was right and I'm playing now. Hopefully I can get into a rhythm a little bit."
Wade has missed 13 games for the Heat this season.
