The Los Angeles Lakers saw a 270 regular-season game sell-out streak come to an end on Tuesday night following their encounter with the New Orleans Pelicans.
While the streak increases to 320 games with the playoffs included, the last time the franchise failed to sell out the arena came back on December 6, 2006, NBA.com reports.
The Lakers drew in 18,426 supporters, just short of the capacity of 18,997, for the 116-95 win over the Pelicans at the Staples Centre.
They now trail city rivals the Los Angeles Clippers, who have sold out 97 consecutive games dating back to February 2011.
