LeSean McCoy puts Philadelphia Eagles results ahead of personal glory

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy insists that personal records are irrelevant if the team isn't winning football matches.

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has said that winning matches as a team is more important than winning personal acclaim for rushing yardage.

McCoy leads the league with 932 yards on the ground through 10 games this season, with three touchdowns to his name.

However, being the best rusher in the NFL won't matter to McCoy if the Eagles end the season with a losing record.

He told Philadelphia Eagles.com: "Any back would tell you that records are cool but only if you're winning as a team. It's not the same if you're losing games but have a big game.

"If you get 180 yards but lose, well it doesn't add up. We're making plays as an offense all together at the moment so things are good."

The Eagles host the Washington Redskins on Sunday, in a rematch of the week one clash in which McCoy rushed for a season-high 184 yards.
