David Quessenberry diagnosed with cancer

Houston Texan defensive end David Quessenberry reveals that he has been diagnosed with cancer.

Houston Texans defensive end David Quessenberry has announced that he has been diagnosed with cancer.

The AFC South side said that the 23-year-old has struggled with fatigue and a persistent cough during workouts with the team over the last week, resulting in him being sent for tests which revealed that he has lymphoma.

Following the announcement, he wrote on Twitter: "I have been diagnosed with cancer. My fight has just begun. As long as I have breath in my lungs I will fight this disease, and I will win."

He also told CSN Houston: "I'm gonna kick the crap outta this thing and come back even stronger! I will win this fight!"

The team announced that he has been placed on the non-football injury list while he undergoes treatment.
