US snowboarder Alex Deibold: 'Hard work pays off'

Alex Deibold is pleased that his hard work and "sacrifice" paid off with a bronze medal in the snowboard cross on Tuesday.

United States snowboarder Alex Deibold has said that the effort and "sacrifice" he put into winning the bronze medal in Tuesday's snowboard cross was all well worth it.

Deibold took bronze just ahead of France's Paul-Henri de le Rue in the race won by Pierre Vaultier, and said that without the support that he received he would not have been able to work as hard as he needed to in order to make the podium.

Deibold's was America's 18th medal of the Winter Olympics 2014 so far.ID:139130: cacheID:139130:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:1849:
