Danny Davis, a member of the US Winter Olympics snowboarding team, says that he is happy with the conditions in Sochi.

US snowboarder Danny Davis has said that he is pleased with the conditions in Sochi.

Davis is part of America's snowboarding team that is competing in the ongoing Winter Olympics in the Russia city.

"It's been like five or six days since the last storm and we are still getting like knee-deep snow and we've been having a blast," Russia Today quotes him as saying. "And the sun has been out every day. So you can't really ask for anything more, to be honest."

The opening ceremony of the Sochi Games will take place on Friday.
