USA's Jamie Anderson delighted with Sochi success

American snowboarder Jamie Anderson says that she "feels out of control" after winning the slopestyle event at the Sochi Games.

Team USA's Jamie Anderson has expressed her delight at winning the inaugural women's snowboard slopestyle event at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The 23-year-old claimed the gold medal at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park on Sunday with a score of 95.25.

"I was really passionate and determined to come out here and do my best and do everything I can to be my strongest and most grounded, calm self, even with the hype of everything on the outside world," USA Today quotes her as saying.

"It just feels out of control. I can't even explain what I'm processing right now."

Finland's Enni Rukajarvi won the silver medal, while Jenny Jones of Great Britain claimed bronze.
