Team GB men's curlers complete comeback win over Denmark

Team GB's men's curling team wipe out a four-stone deficit to secure a come-from-behind 8-6 win over Denmark in Sochi and move joint-top of the Winter Olympic standings.

Team GB's men's curling team overcame a four-stone deficit to beat Denmark 8-6 in Sochi this afternoon and continue their excellent start to the 2014 Winter Olympics.

David Murdoch's team came from 4-0 down to establish a 7-6 lead heading into the last end, and then hung on to claim their fifth win in six matches in the competition.

They are now joint top of the men's curling standings with Sweden, but Britain found themselves four behind for a second time in the match when the scores were 5-1 to the Danes after five ends.

However, a three-stone steal on the sixth end significantly reduced the arrears, and Murdoch and company then picked up four more stones, while only conceding one, during the final three ends.

Team GB face Canada, who have won four of their six round robin matches, on Saturday afternoon.
