David Murdoch: 'We put down a marker'

Great Britain men's curling skip David Murdoch feels that his side put down a marker in the Winter Olympics with a narrow victory over Switzerland.

Great Britain men's curling skip David Murdoch feels that his side put down a "marker" in their win over Switzerland on Wednesday.

Team GB recorded a narrow victory over the European champions in Sochi as they secured their third win of the Games with a 4-2 triumph.

"Even though it was as tight as it was, that has been our best performance because they are a really good team," Murdoch told BBC Sport.

"For us to beat them, the European champions, that is a really good marker for us and we just need to play like that every game. If we do that we're in good shape."

Murdoch and his teammates are back in action in Sochi later today against the USA.
