Team GB have provided an update on the ankle injury that Jack Whelbourne suffered during the 1500m short track speed skating final at the Sochi Games earlier on Monday.
Whelbourne crashed out while he was fourth in the race and went down holding his ankle after twisting it, but Great Britain have now confirmed that there has been no fracture.
"He was taken for a precautionary x-ray of his right ankle," BBC Sport quotes Team GB as saying in a statement.
"The x-ray revealed no fracture and Whelbourne will now be monitored further in the coming days, when a decision will be made as to his ability to compete in further events."
Whelbourne, who has been entered for the 500m and 1000m as well, is next due to compete on Thursday.
