Eve Muirhead pleased with "solid" Team GB performance

Team GB curling skip Eve Murihead says that both confidence and momentum are building within her team after their second win of the 2014 Winter Olympics over China.

Great Britain women's curling skip Eve Murihead has declared that confidence is building within her team, following their 8-7 victory over China earlier today.

Muirhead kept her nerve in the final end in her team's fourth match, with a perfect final stone giving Team GB the point that they needed to make it two wins so far at Sochi 2014.

Following the game, she told TeamGB.com: "I am really pleased. It was a solid performance and I think we realised how important that game was. China are always going to be a really tough team, it was never going to be easy. I love it when my team play so great, it was a real team effort out there.

"Confidence is building and a little bit of momentum as well. Yes we have dropped our game against Sweden and Canada but they are two tough nations and we know we didn't play great.

"We know we can play a lot better against them if we come up against them again but it is essential that we keep this solid performance going and get better and better."

Muirhead and her team will take on Japan tomorrow.
