Aimee Fuller: 'I'm loving every minute of Winter Olympics so far'

Great Britain's Aimee Fuller says that she is "soaking it all in" after competing during the first day of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

Team GB snowboader Aimee Fuller has said that a disappointing result in Thursday's slopestyle heats will not get her down as she continues to enjoy her first Winter Olympic Games.

The 22-year-old finished in 10th position as she battled to make Sunday's final, but will instead have to settle for a semi-final spot.

Although there are things on the slopes she can work on, she admitted that she is simply happy to enjoy the thrill of being involved in Sochi.

She told TeamGB.com: "I am enjoying myself. I definitely didn't get down what I wanted to get down [as a score] so I am a little disappointed there.

"But I see it as a good building block for Sunday's semi-finals. Riding in front of this big crowd is a completely new experience to me.

"I enjoyed every minute and when I didn't land on my second run I still continued on and made the most of it. I have had a good day. It is a once in a lifetime experience and I am just soaking it all in."

Fuller's 44.50 was a little way off the pace during the first heat, and she will need to improve her score on Sunday if she is to make the final.
