Andrew Musgrave secures best-ever result for Britain in World Cup

Great Britain's Andrew Musgrave comes 13th at the World Cup, which is the nation's best-ever finish in cross-country skiing.

Great Britain have recorded their best-ever result in cross-country skiing following Andrew Musgrave's 13th-place finish at the World Cup in Lillehammer, Norway.

The Scotsman came 13th in the 10km freestyle race, 25th in the sprint freestyle and 50th in the 15km classic pursuit.

The 24-year-old competed in the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics for Britain, but failed to progress past the quarter-final stage in Sochi.

Musgrave, who also had to pull out of the team event in Russia, scooped the Norwegian national title as a foreign entrant back in April.
