Tatiana Volosozhar has said that she was "overwhelmed" by her gold medal triumph at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
The 27-year-old Russian won the pairs figure skating event with Maxim Trankov at the Iceberg Skating Palace in Sochi on Wednesday.
"I was certainly overwhelmed, and could not hold back tears of joy," she told Russia Today.
"It was absolute happiness at knowing it's all over and we've done well."
Volosozhar competed for Ukraine until 2010 when she gained Russian citizenship, and has been representing the 2014 Games' host country since.
