Kristan Bromley aiming for top-six finish in men's skeleton

Team GB athlete Kristan Bromley is targeting a top-six finish in the men's skeleton after finishing joint eighth after two runs down the track at the Sochi Olympics.

Team GB athlete Kristan Bromley was pleased with his first two runs of the men's skeleton, which he believes have put him in a position to compete for a top-six finish.

The four-time Olympian is currently sharing eighth place with Canadian John Fairbairn and is 2.27 seconds behind Russian leader Alexander Tretiakov.

"In the first run I made a couple of little mistakes as the speed of the track was a bit different to training," Bromley told reporters.

"My second run was much more competitive, but I had a but too much height into turn 11 which cost me. Overall I'm pretty pleased with where I am at heading into the final two runs. I will keep trying and try to finish in the top six."

Bromley's fellow Brit Dominic Parsons is joint 10th having gone 2.41 seconds slower than Tretiakov in Sochi.
