Russian skier Alexander Legkov has described his 50km mass start gold medal triumph at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi as "priceless".
The host nation secured a 1-2-3 finish with Maxim Vylegzhanin and Illa Chermousov taking silver and bronze respectively.
"This is priceless," the 30-year-old is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"It's more valuable than my life, I can't express how I feel. For 15 years I've been trying for this result."
The clean sweep in the cross-country event ensures that the Russian Federation will top the medal table at the close of the Winter Games later today.
