Germany's Maria Hoefl-Riesch takes women's super combined gold

Germany's Maria Hoefl-Riesch wins gold in the women's super combined skiing at the 2014 Sochi Games.

Maria Hoefl-Riesch has won Germany's second gold medal of the 2014 Winter Olympics by clinching the women's super combined skiing event.

She finished fifth in the downhill and was third quickest in the slalom to bring her total time to 2:34.62.

Nicole Hosp of Austria finished 0.4 seconds behind the German to take silver, while USA athlete Julia Mancuso (+0.53) took bronze.

It is the German's third Olympic gold medal.
