Nordic combined champion Eric Frenzel has said that the sport is the hardest at the Winter Olympics.
The event begins with a ski jump before competitors take part in a cross country ski.
The German told NBC Sports: "It's the hardest. You must be good in your head and good in your body. You need a lot of power. For me, the Nordic combined athletes are the kings of Nordic winter sport.
"On the cross country track I think also it's important to have good endurance. Our muscle training is only important for the jumping."
Frenzel won gold in the 10km individual normal hill contest.
