Dimitris Minasidis claims gold for Cyprus, while Gareth Evans of Wales finishes fifth in the 62kg final.

Dimitris Minasidis of Cyprus has claimed the gold medal in the 62kg class, with Gareth Evans only managing to deliver a fifth-place finish for Wales.

A total lift of 276kg was enough to secure the gold for Minasidis ahead of Sri Lanka'a Sudesh Peiris in Glasgow.

Despite missing out on a medal, Evans was able to set a new personal best with a total weight of 268kg, with England's Jaswant Shergill finishing 11th in the final.
