Serena Williams has revealed that her defeat to Garbine Muguruza at the French Open last year has made her wary of the Spaniard ahead of their clash in the Wimbledon final.
The 33-year-old could become the oldest winner of a Grand Slam in the Open era with a victory over the Spaniard, and could also claim the 'Serena Slam' by holding all four majors at the same time.
However, Williams has admitted that she will face a tough task to claim her 21st major title following her defeat to the 21-year-old in the second round at Roland Garros in 2014.
"It was an eye-opening loss for me," Williams told reporters. "Some losses you're angry about, and some losses you learn from. That loss I think I learned the most from in a long time."
Williams and Mugurza face off on Centre Court later today.
