World number three Andy Murray has said that he is happy with his performance after advancing from the first round of the US Open.
The Scot defeated Michael Llodra 6-2 6-4 6-3 in 98 minutes to reach the second round at Flushing Meadows.
With scheduling issues resulting in delays to the start of the match, Murray is happy to have breezed past his opponent.
"It was a good start, I played well today," Murray told reporters. "He's a very tricky opponent to play against, he's unpredictable.
"He's a fun guy to watch but he can be a bit of a nightmare to play against, so it's good that I got off to a good start, especially after waiting around all day."
Murray meets Leonardo Mayer in the next round.
