Andy Murray has voiced his concerns over safety at the US Open after players were sent out to play in damp conditions at Flushing Meadows.
While there was no play on Tuesday, only a handful of games were played on Wednesday before rain halted proceedings again.
"It's dangerous, the lines get really slippy," said Murray.
"Players want to play more than anyone, but not when it's dangerous."
Defending champion Rafael Nadal was also unimpressed by the organisers' decision to send players out in the wet.
"We don't want to go on court if it is raining. If I have to go on court, I go on court, but I think it's not fair," said the Spaniard.
"I understand the fans but the health and the players are important and we don't feel protected."
When play resumes, Murray will be 2-1 down in the first set of his fourth round match against Donald Young, while Nadal is 3-0 in the first set of his fourth round match against Gilles Muller.
