Andy Murray: 'Belief helped me beat Adrian Mannarino'

Andy Murray says that he is "proud" of his comeback against Adrian Mannarino at the US Open.

Andy Murray has said that he is "proud" of his comeback against Adrian Mannarino at the US Open yesterday.

The world number three went two sets down before beating the Frenchman.

"I'm proud of the way I fought," Murray told BBC Sport.

"It was not an easy match to come through at all. He was making it extremely difficult for me.

"I've come through many tough matches in my career and I think that's why, when you are behind like that in the scoreline, you have the belief that you can come through and do it again."

Murray will play Brazil's Thomaz Bellucci in the third round tomorrow.
