Andy Murray wary of Thomaz Bellucci's aggression at US Open

Andy Murray says that he needs to be on top of his game to beat "aggressive" Thomaz Bellucci in the third round of the US Open.

British number one Andy Murray has claimed that he will try to stop upcoming opponent Thomaz Bellucci from 'dictating' play when the pair go head to head in the third round of the US Open at Flushing Meadows.

The Scotsman overcame a scare by coming back from two sets down to clinch victory over Adrian Mannarino on Thursday.

"I expect a tough match [from Bellucci]," Murray told reporters. "I would imagine he's pretty close to his career-high ranking just now. He's played well this year. Good serve.

"Plays predominantly from the back of the court, but he's an aggressive player. He likes to try and dictate the points from the back. Like I say, he's had some good results this year. Won two matches here very comfortably. So, yeah, I expect a tough match and one that I'll need to, you know, play very well to win."

Murray won the US Open title in 2012.
