Caroline Wozniacki makes light work of Jarmila Gajdosova at Madrid Open

Caroline Wozniacki cruises into the second round of Mutua Madrid Open with a 6-3 6-0 win over Jarmila Gajdosova.

Fifth seed Caroline Wozniacki needed just over an hour to beat Jarmila Gajdosova in the opening round of the Mutua Madrid Open this afternoon.

The pair went toe-to-toe in the early stages and it was actually Australia's Gajdosova who made the first break to go 3-2 in front.

Wozniacki was quickly back level, though, and went on to win the first set 6-3 with a run of four consecutive games.

That streak would end at 10 games with the match as the Dane cruised through the second set without losing a game.

Wozniacki will face either Mona Barthel or qualifier Christina McHale in the next round.
