Caroline Wozniacki has breezed into the third round of the Miami Open with a comprehensive 6-0 6-1 triumph over Madison Brengle.

The fourth-seeded 2014 US Open runner-up took just 56 minutes to dispatch of her American opponent on the hard courts at Crandon Park, storming to a flawless first set.

Brengle drew cheers from the crowd in the second set as she finally got a game on the board, but it was to prove nothing more than a small consolation.

Up next for Wozniacki will be Estonia's Kaia Kanepi, who beat 28th-seeded American Varvara Lepchenko 6-2 6-4.
