Li Na comes from a set down to beat Sloane Stephens in the third round of the Madrid Open.

Li Na has booked her place in the quarter-finals of the Madrid Open after coming from behind to secure a 2-6 6-3 6-2 victory over Sloane Stephens.

The American pro blasted out of the gate to grab the first break of serve and continued to dominate on the court during the first set.

Li could only put two games on the board, but she found her composure in the second set to take a vital break of serve to grab a two-set lead.

The Chinese player went from strength to strength in the third and deciding set by earning a break at the first time of asking, while Stephens struggled to hold serve.

After a tough opening set, Li managed to wrap up proceedings with ease by winning the third 6-2.
