Roger Federer has recorded a comfortable straight-sets victory over Borna Coric to reach the final of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Eighteen-year-old Coric stunned Andy Murray in the quarter-finals on Thursday, but the young Croatian was no match for Federer who breezed to a 6-2 6-1 win in 56 minutes.
Coric's serve had been immaculate during his triumph over Murray but during the opening set with the 33-year-old Swiss, he won just 31% of points behind his own delivery and that was enough to allow Federer to coast to an early advantage.
It was a similar story in the second as Federer mounted a sustained attack in his return games, and two more breaks of serves secured his place in the final.
Novak Djokovic or Tomas Berdych will lie in wait for the world number two on Saturday.
