Rafael Nadal confirms Queen's return

World number three Rafael Nadal will play at the Aegon Championships at Queen's for the first time in four years this June.

Rafael Nadal has confirmed that he will play at the Aegon Championships for the first time in four years as part of his preparations for Wimbledon.

The 28-year-old has reached the Wimbledon final on each of the five occasions that he has played at Queen's club, but since his last appearance at the event he has failed progress from the fourth round.

"I always loved playing at The Queen's Club and I am very happy that I will be back this year," he told the LTA's official website. "It was a great experience for me to lift the trophy in 2008 because it is such an important and traditional tournament.

"To win Wimbledon a few weeks later was like a dream. Coming to the Aegon Championships helps with the adjustment from clay to grass because the grass courts at Queen's are so good.

"It is also a tournament where the people are very nice - the organisers and of course the spectators who always make me feel very welcome in London."

Andy Murray, US Open winner Marin Cilic and defending champion Grigor Dimitrov have already confirmed their participation at Queen's.
