Andy Murray says that he had to "weather the storm" following Grigor Dimitrov's aggressive start in the Scotsman's third-round win in Miami.

British number one Andy Murray has admitted that he found it tough to handle opponent Grigor Dimitrov during his third-round battle at the Miami Masters.

The Scotsman, who secured a 7-6(3) 6-3 victory, has claimed that it was difficult to endure Dimitrov's aggressive start.

"He was taking the ball early very aggressively and hitting very clean at the beginning of the match and I had to weather the storm a bit," BBC Sport quotes Murray as saying.

"If you don't feel like you are playing at your best you don't go for the lines, you just try to keep a good depth and hit the ball mainly crosscourt and make your opponent have to beat you and I did that in the first set."

Murray will take on Andreas Seppi in the last 16.
