Jeremy Chardy has declared that he feels confident of causing an upset against Andy Murray tomorrow if he can get his huge forehand working in full flow from the outset.
The unseeded Frenchman has enjoyed a surprise run to the quarter-finals of the Australian Open, beating Juan Martin del Potro and Andreas Seppi to reach the last eight.
Chardy comes up against an in-form Murray tomorrow but believes that he can play without pressure and spring another surprise in Melbourne.
He told reporters: "When I start to hit my forehand, I start to feel confident.
"When my forehand is there, my head is there, everything is there. It's always easier when you play with nothing to lose. I can go for it, enjoy my tennis, but I will stay focused because I think I have a chance to win."
Murray is one of three players in the men's draw who has yet to drop a set in the tournament ahead of tomorrow's match.
