Roger Federer admits that he is "happy" to have won the Gerry Weber Open in Halle.

Roger Federer has admitted that he is "happy" to have won the Gerry Weber Open with his victory over Mikhail Youzhny in Halle.

The Swiss world number two came from a set down to beat his Russian opponent 6-7(5) 6-3 6-4 in the final and win his first title of 2013.

"I've won a lot but not so much in the last 10 months, although I feel I'd been playing well," said 31-year-old Federer. "Mikhail has produced a great tournament, that's why I'm so happy to have won."

Federer will now prepare to defend his Wimbledon crown at the end of the month.
