British number one Cameron Norrie exits the Rotterdam Open at the quarter-final stage to Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Cameron Norrie's run at the Rotterdam Open came to an end in the quarter-finals as Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime marched to a straight sets win.

After compatriot Andy Murray had bowed out on Friday to the Canadian, Norrie's first serve bedevilled him throughout much of the battle as Auger-Aliassime won 7-5 7-6 [7-4].

Norrie boasted just a 54% win rate on his first serve, and despite saving two match points during the final tie-break, a wide forehand ultimately cost him a spot in the semi-finals of the ATP 500 event.

Auger-Aliassime has now prevailed against Norrie three times in the last six months, with this victory coming in two hours and seven minutes as the British number one could not capitalise on an early break in the second set.

The 21-year-old will now face either Andrey Rublev or Marton Fucsovics for a spot in the final, with the other semi-final being contested by Stefanos Tsitsipas and Jiri Lehecka.
