Andrey Golubev eyes Andy Murray upset at the French Open

World number 53 Andrey Golubev believes that he has what it takes to worry Andy Murray when they meet at the French Open.

World number 53 Andrey Golubev has claimed that he has what it takes to cause an upset against Andy Murray at the French Open.

The pair go face to face on Tuesday when they will battle it out for a spot in the second round at Roland Garros.

Despite Murray's status as favourite to win the match, Golubev believes that he can worry the world number eight.

"I have to play my tennis," the Kazakh is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "Every match you can be different and I will attack for sure. I'm not going to stay five metres behind the baseline just waiting for his mistakes. We will see if I can do this well.

"We've never met on clay. It's a good challenge for me. When we go on court it's 50-50 and he has to show he is better than me. Of course I will try my best."

Murray has won both of his previous two encounters against Golubev.
