Andy Murray fights back to beat John Isner

Andy Murray saves two match points to record a three-set victory against John Isner and reach the last eight of the Cincinnati Open.

Andy Murray has fought back from a set deficit to defeat John Isner in stunning fashion at the Cincinnati Open.

The two-time major winner let slip a 3-1 lead in the opening-set tie-break to gift Isner the lead, but the Scot broke at the start of the second on the way to taking the match into a decider.

The first 11 games went with serve but in the 12th game, Isner created two match points as the sun contributed to Murray struggling to land his first serve.

However, Murray saved both to take it to a tie-break, which he dominated to eventually record a 6-7 6-4 7-6 triumph.

The 27-year-old will now play either Roger Federer or Gael Monfils in the quarter-finals.
