Kyle Edmund fights back to beat Austin Krajicek

British number three Kyle Edmund overturns a one-set deficit to beat Austin Krajicek to move one match away from the main draw of the Australian Open.

Kyle Edmund has moved one win away from the main draw of the Australian Open after overcoming Austin Krajicek in three sets.

The British number three, who is attempting to compete in a Grand Slam outside of Wimbledon for the first time, registered a 4-6 7-6 6-2 triumph over the American.

After dropping the opening set, it appeared as though Edmund would have to wait for another 12 months for another attempt at qualification in Melbourne, but he showed his class to level the match in a second-set tie-break.

The decider was plain-sailing for Edmund, who, after opening up a 5-1 lead, comfortably served out the match to record his second victory in as many days.

Edmund will now play Dane Propoggia, who has overcome Brydan Klein and Ireland's James McGee, for a place in the main draw which begins on Monday.
