Juan Martin del Potro has outclassed France's Adrian Mannarino to cruise into the second round of the Australian Open.
The Argentine took just 76 minutes to wrap up victory against the world number 158 without facing a single break point on the Hisense Arena court.
Del Potro did not make a single unforced error on his way to claiming the first set 6-1 with just 22 minutes on the clock.
His ruthless assault did not let up in the second set, with Mannarino completely overwhelmed by the power of the 2010 US Open champion.
Mannarino managed to hold serve in the opening game of the third set, but Del Potro then won five straight games to put him on the precipice of victory.
Del Potro held to love in booking his second-round spot, where he will face the winner of Aljaz Bedene and Benjamin Becker.
