Feliciano Lopez: 'I need to play better against Andy Murray'

Feliciano Lopez admits that he will need to be at his best to beat Andy Murray in the third round of the Australian Open.

Feliciano Lopez has said that he will have to step up his game to beat Andy Murray in the third round of the Australian Open on Saturday.

The 32-year-old Spaniard has a 0-7 record against the Wimbledon champion.

"It's tough to say what I really need to do to beat Andy," he told BBC Sport. "He's a great player. We played so many times and I never beat him.

"A couple of times I was close - the best match I played was at the US Open [in 2012] when I was really close, but I didn't get it.

"So I have to play the same but still a little bit better, because that was not enough."

Lopez is currently ranked 27th in the world.
