Team England table tennis player Liam Pitchford has revealed that he was disappointed to miss out on two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games.
The 21-year-old sustained a loss with teammate Tin-Tin Ho in the mixed doubles final against Paul and Joanna Drinkhall.
Pitchford also lost his semi-final clash against Singapore's Ning Gao in the men's singles to miss the chance to compete in the gold-medal match.
He told reporters: "We started really bad and although we came back, they had a lot of confidence. We should have started better and I'm disappointed. It was a tough match.
"I've lost two tough matches in a row now and I've got to play a bronze medal match so it has been a hard day, but I'll pick myself up and go again."
Pitchford will play for the bronze medal later today in the men's singles.
